Alexandra Zaitsev is a native New Yorker with Russian roots. Currently studying advertising art direction as an undergraduate at Pratt Institute, Zaitsev plans on crossing the pond after graduation to continue her studies in art direction at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan. She is obsessed with typography, fashion, printmaking, art history, and heavy metal. Boundless in her desire to move into territories beyond advertising, Alexandra can't wait to cut into the design world through a cross disciplinary perspective. Of her design school experience, she says “simplicity always wins, and it's damn hard to pull off. No amount of bells and whistles will surmount what intriguingly simple design and clever copy can achieve.”
