Students to Watch in 2012
CLEVELAND INSTITUTE OF ART
Sasha Andersen was born and raised in Phoenix AZ and lived there until the age of 13, when she landed in a little town in Ohio. High school was a flurry of academics, mixed with odds-and-end “art” classes, and occasionally, a soccer game. Without knowing much about it, she decided to enroll as a Communication Design (“Graphic Design”) student at the Cleveland Institute of Art. In the three and a half short years there, her ideas of art and design have flourished into a way of thinking and living. Having completed three internships at design agencies, Sasha believes her future will be in advertising, emphasizing concept and ideas. She is currently a senior and this past summer married a Navy Corpsman. Upon graduation in May 2012, she will move from Cleveland to the Windy City, and will eventually make her way with her husband to the West Coast to live and work by the ocean.
