As for her agency, The MOD Studio philosophy is simple: be smart, strategic and creative.
Where were you born or grew up, where do you live, does this effect your design style or sensibility?
I was born in Bulgaria and spent much of my childhood there. I've lived several places in the US and currently call Austin TX home. So much of my inspiration comes from being exposed to different lifestyles and cultures and I think having lived in a variety of cities, states and countries gives me a unique view. Plus I LOVE to travel, I have been to over 20 countries, and each trip is an inspiration.
If you were not a designer, what would you be doing for a living?
Creativity is in my blood; I can't imagine having a job where I had to do the same thing every day! So if I had to choose another industry to develop a business, it would be fashion.
What is your greatest strength and weakness as a designer or design manager?
My greatest strength IS my greatest weakness; I can be incredibly OCD and fuss over every detail, wanting it to be perfect. I know our clients appreciate this attention to detail, but it's sometimes challenging to send an item to press and not be stuck in endless revisions.
It changes daily, but today, it’s Compendium.
