James Clunie is a Senior Vice President/Creative Director at BBDO in New York. Over the past five years he has produced work for eBay, HBO, and FedEx. Last year he oversaw the launch of campaigns for both Havaianas Brazilian flip-flops and The Economist in the U.S. Prior to BBDO, Clunie worked at Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis, where he produced work for the Cub Scouts, American Standard, and Hurd Windows, among many others. If you weren't a designer, what would you be?
Probably a house builder or some sort of
woodworker. Maybe a forensic detective.
What's the one thing ALWAYS in your bag that you never leave home without?
If you could spend 15 minutes talking to any person, living or dead, who would it be and why?
If you could work for anyone, a client or on a project, what would it be?
I'd like to design concert posters.
